Choose a relaxing wall art to hang in your bedroom
The bedroom is where we sleep, so we want to create a space where we can get a good night’s sleep.
If you are going to hang a wall art in your bedroom, it should be a peaceful or relaxing painting.
Decorate with clear colors.
When decorating a bedroom, choose a painting with a peaceful motif in a clear color palette to create a space where you can rest and relax.
Choose a painting that makes you feel at ease when you look at it.
If you want to make your bedroom a calm and relaxing place to spend time, I recommend decorating it with a painting of the sea. Please refer to the following article for more details.

Look carefully at the balance with the interior.
If the colors of furniture such as beds and bedding such as sheets and comforters are balanced with the colors of the wall arts to be displayed, the interior will look more cohesive.
In the photo above, a clean-colored sea artwork is displayed on the wall above the bed.
The colors fit well with the ambience of the bedroom, because the painting are similar to the bedspread and cushions in shades of pink and blue.
If you want a bedroom where you can sleep well, choose paintings in soothing colors such as blue, green, pale pink, and brown.
When the interior of your bedroom is subdued in color, displaying artwork in bright colors such as blue or pink as an interior accent will give the room a sophisticated look.
In the photo above, a brightly colored painting with a butterfly motif is displayed above the bed.
The brightly colored art looks great in a bedroom with a white interior.
If you want to choose a wall art that makes a room look bigger, please refer to the article below.
What size art should I hang?
Choose a large painting if you want to hang it on a large wall, or a medium-sized painting if you want to hang it on a wall near furniture such as a table or shelf next to your bed.
To learn more about the size of a painting, please see the article, “How To Easily Determine Painting Sizes For Walls“.
If you imagine actually hanging a painting, you will be able to see how well it balances with the interior.

Where should I hang a wall art in my bedroom?
Hang it on the wall near the bed.
If you want to hang an art in your bedroom, hanging it on the wall above your bedside table or on the bedside wall will give a good balance to the interior design.
The height at which you hang the art should match the height of your eyes when you are standing in the bedroom.
What is the height at which to display a painting in the following article. Please take a look at this page as well.
If you hang an art on the bedside wall, hang it on the wall above the bedhead or slightly to the right or left.
In the photo above, the art hangs on the wall above the headboard of the bed.
The clean color scheme of the art hanging above the bed goes well with the peaceful color interior.
For a soothing bedroom, hang wall arts in colors similar to the colors of the furniture and bedclothes.
When hanging a single wall art above the bed, choose a medium-sized painting or a larger painting for better balance.
hanging on the wall next to the bed
If hanging on the bedside wall, choose a location in the middle of the wall.
In the photo above, the art is displayed on the wall next to the bed.
Because it is hung on the wall in the middle of the wall, it gives a sense of unity when viewed in the room as a whole.
Larger art looks better on a large wall.
When deciding on the placement of wall arts, the following article will help you make a smooth decision. Please read them as well.
Hanging on the wall above furniture
When hanging on a wall above a piece of furniture, such as a clothes drawer, chest, dresser or shelf, choose a location that is balanced with the furniture.
For a medium-sized art, hang it on the wall slightly above the furniture for a balanced and uncluttered look.
In the photo above, a painting is hung above the drawer (chest).
Above the chest on the left, three medium-sized paintings are hung on the wall.
When displaying medium-sized wall arts above the furniture, you can display two or three paintings side by side as shown in the photo above.
In the photo above, the wall painting is also displayed above the cabinet on the right.
The combination with flowers and sundries is wonderful.
When decorating over furniture, hang them on the wall at eye level when you are standing.

Tips for creating a relaxing bedroom
Bedrooms can be designed with artwork, furniture, and other interior design elements to create a relaxing space for a good night’s sleep.
We encourage you to try some of these ideas at home.
Here are some simple tips for creating a relaxing bedroom.
(1) Use calm colors in the interior.
A bedroom interior with a calm image will help you get a good night’s rest, without stimulating your eyes too much.
Using white, beige, brown, and gray colors for the entire room’s interior will create a calm-colored room.
When using distinct colors, choose them as colors for cushion covers, sundries, and not-so-large pieces of art rather than large pieces of furniture.
Blue is a relaxing color and may be used as a key color in interior design.
(2) Choose bedding with a good texture
Choose sheets, comforters, and pillows that are soft to the touch so you can rest peacefully and relax.
Linen bedding is also recommended to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
(3) Darken the room when you go to bed.
If light enters your eyes when you sleep, you will be bothered by the brightness and will not be in “sleep mode”.
As much as possible, darken the place where you sleep.
If you have a light in your bedroom, choose one that is not too bright, such as a bedside lamp.
(4) Do not look at computer or smartphone screens before going to bed.
Looking at computer or smartphone screens before going to bed will cause your eyes to glaze over and make sleep more difficult.
It is better not to bring these things into the bedroom as much as possible to create a space where you can sleep well.
(5) Create a room where you can feel the sunlight in the morning.
It is best to keep the room dark when you go to bed. But in the morning it is best to have a room where you can wake up feeling the sunlight.
It will be easier to wake up when you feel the sunlight in the morning.
Try to create a room where you can feel the sunlight as much as possible by choosing the type of curtains and blinds, how to install them, and where to place your bed.
For reference, if you look at a wall art in a room with sunlight, it will look very beautiful in natural light.
So far, I have explained calm bedroom wall art decorating ideas for your better sleep.
I hope you will create a bedroom where you can sleep well by decorating it with relaxing paintings.
